Not even the occasional outburst of commotion (who knows what other people are getting up to! not her! and it's probable that she doesn't really want to know, either) really seem to penetrate the fog of her sleepiness. So she's kind of looking where she's going, but also really kind of not, which means that this is the perfect opportunity, through the law of comedy, for her to blunder straight into someone who is trying to be sneaky in the hallways. ]
